Weekend Trek - Part II

Okay, now that the Guardian UK threw up the white flag and dropped their efforts to influence voters in Ohio (because they forgot the lessons of 1776 and were actually helping Kerry) they now have this statement about their belief (and fear) that Bush will win:

UK GUARDIAN: 'John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?'...

In the olden days these words would be enough to start a war, but they can still sit there and believe that despite their attitude the US will protect them! And we will because they are a good ally despite themselves!

Now, can the Secret Service use this as a threat and do a full investigation of their US staff - perhaps expelling those who's visa has expired?
DKK

More - It seems there is at least one UK paper that gets it! A Bush lose is not a Kerry win, but one for Zarqawi! At that is what the Telegraph says in a must read essay!

Werewolves of Germany, Iraq and America

Last night I watched the History Channel's rebroadcast of the German Guerillas during WWII and it was astounding how similar to today's Iraq the situation was. Down to the disbanding of the army, a heavily armed population, and even 50% unemployment!

The terrorists known as "Werewolves" were SS members and Nazi Party members with numbers of 5000 or more who started their attacks before the war ended - infiltrating enemy lines, placing mines, murdering and terrorizing communities who cooperated with the occupying army.

The lessons learned may be in place today. One of the decisive moments was when the people of post war Germany rose up to demonstrate against the bombings - but this was nearly 2 years after the war was over and there was no going back!

A Bush victory would be a repudiation of the party that calls their traitorous cut and run'ner a hero - a Bush blowout would be a COMPLETE repudiation of the Lie-N-Hype Moore-on's and should cause a refocusing of the left as to how out of the mainstream they are. I thought that would happen after 2002, but they just ran farther left with the likes of Nancy Blows-me (Pelosi) and Tom (It's WRONG) Daschle.

Now the amazing part is that I had to keep flipping back and forth so I didn't miss any of the top 27 episodes of South Park!

Weekend Trek October 23/24 04

Random thoughts to start the Trek:

In addition to Iraq becomming a magnet for terrorists manpower - which as you may know I think is a wonderful thing, lets hope it is a more powerful magnet then the mall a mile down the road from my house - but money is flowing into Iraq from Arab sources supporting the terrorists!

Could this be a great big head fake - draw in the money and men, again so we fight them on their own land rather then here at home.

It gives us time to shore up defense here and a real opportunity to deplete their resources. If they are actually defeated there then the incentive for the funding we haven't tracked and eliminated will be greatly reduced - if their money couldn't defeat the Americans in Iraq when the anti-American left was helping so much - how can they fund them elsewhere!

True peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of justice.

Wow, that Lawrence O'asshole on MSNBC has been over the line the last week or so but he really lost it tonight debating (bad term since he didn't let anyone including the moderator speak) John O'Neil of the Swifties - I won't watch anylonger, and if you know anything about me you know that I am stubborn enough to stick to something like that! But check Powerline, Michelle (extensive coverage), or Polipundit (scroll there are about 3 references) for updates on this one!

Could it be that Kerry's discharge was less then honorable? After all he was a reserve officer when he was degrading our troops! Check out this from Townhall. It would explain O'asshole's reaction on MSNBC, shout them down so they don't look any deeper. Remember I am a firm believer that the left has major issues with projection - they do seem to protest too much!

Of course John Kerry could end this debate by signing the standard from 180 that would release his entire military record - the President did.

Enough for now, more as the trek through the weekend continues.

Wrong lesson

Just a couple days ago I pointed out that John Kerry learned the wrong lesson in Vietnam:
Unfortunately what it points out is that Senator Kerry failed to learn the lesson of Vietnam, despite his claims to the contrary. Frankly that is because he learned the WRONG lesson of Vietnam!

I have explained before that the lesson of Vietnam was that you don't fight a war from Washington! You don't micromanage your battles and you let the military do what it must in order to win. Your fight in Washington is against the left and their constant abuse of the media for propaganda purposes.

John Kerry, like the French he is so fond of, claims the lesson of Vietnam was not to send troops into a war without an exit strategy! He claims he has learned that lesson and the President hasn't! John Kerry managed to learn the cut an run lesson, and learn it well he did!

Winds of Change is another 9/11 Democrat for Bush and one of his main reasons is based on this quote by John Kerry from Rolling Stone:
"...that's what I'm trying to offer America right now -- a realistic way to get our troops home, with honor, by achieving our goals but by sharing the burden and risk."
He best puts it this way:

Success in any enterprise is only partly determined by skill and intelligence. Luck plays a large part. But the largest role, I believe, is played by commitment and determination to reach a goal. My friend wanted to be successful more than I did. He was.

Kerry's goals, as he consistently expresses them, are defensive in nature. His quote above isn't about winning, but about bringing the troops home. I genuinely believe that was put first because that's his priority, when you get down to it.

And it isn't mine. We are at war, and we need to win this war, or it will be the start of a series of bloody conflicts that will end, I believe, in a holocaust.

We will survive the conflicts, and we will survive the holocaust. But we will be changed by them, and not for the better. I believe that we will be ruined by them, economically, morally, and spiritually.

Well said and right on the mark in my opinion!
DKK

BTW - The Wolf advertisement by Bush/Cheney 04 is really impressive and will impact those who aren't rabidly ABB and have doubts about Kerry. The DU just doesn't see it having an impact.

Daily Trek Friday 102204

How can the blogger system just eat posts the way it does? I had a really good trek on foreign entanglements (George Washington) here but it disappeared - well I will try to reconstruct today's Trek:

I am getting really sick of the hate America Lie-N-Hype Moore-on's. They don't understand that they are really hurting America abroad in a way that will last generations! These people really hate America and wish to remake it into their utopian dream. They have used propaganda in an attempt to beat down the US in the world's opinion since Vietnam!

That is what I don't get about this election - remember Kerry said dying for UN good, dying for the US BAD! I would like to believe the national conscience will kick in on election day repudiating everything this man stands for, I can only pray this happens!

Did you hear the crazy left screaming that we didn't have a plan to get out of Korea in 1952? NO, because you don't do that in a war! As a matter of fact we are still in Korea as a strategic location (as we are in Japan and Germany) and with any luck we will still be in Iraq in 2054 with the Iraqi's blessing! It is just a strategic move that will hopefully foster a successful middle east democracy!

Polipundit
:
Whose Fault Is It That So Many In The World Hate Bush?

I have been of the opinion for a while now that the fact that there are many in the world who do indeed hate George Bush, is due more to the portrayal of him by political opponents here in the States than with any policies or actions of the President abroad. John Derbyshire at The Corner posts an excerpt from a letter from a reader who is of the same opinion.

A reader who is teaching in China: “One of the things I find particularly distressing is how the careless and hateful rhetoric of Democrats and the media have been swallowed hook, line, and sinker by the Chinese, who receive it via (God help us!) the BBC. Bush evil. Bush stupid. That’s what my students believe; the dismissive tone of their voices, when they mention President Bush’s name, speaks more than any words can. Democrats and the media are so insular, that they do not begin to conceive of the impact of their propaganda and how that shapes the way the rest of the world views us. What has poisoned the perception of the U.S. abroad is not the actions of GWB, but that of the Democrats and the media who noised abroad their disdain and lack of support for Dubya, all for political gain. Had the Democrats and media done what was right, the U.S. would be in different odor around the globe.”
-- Lorie Byrd

Now Clinton wants to be the head of the UN - God help us, we would have absolutely NO sovereignty with a Kerry/Clinton anti-American team!

Speaking of sovereignty and interference it seems the Guardian UK's attempts to influence Clark County Ohio voters (to eject Bush) is backfiring! Did they forget the Revolutionary War, you know the one that Carter declared unnecessary just this week!
The Republicans' delight compares with the gloom among local Democrats, who fear that "foreign interference" is hurting Mr Kerry.
Remember those international election observers sent here at the request of Democrats well they already see a problem:
The delegation condemned the disenfranchisement of an estimated 4.7 million ex-felons which it said fell short of international standards.
These same international standards lead to 9/11 and genocide in Rwanda and Sudan!!!!!

Now let me make a point here. Can you name 3 things the world, AKA the UN, has done for the US in the past 60 or 100 years? Oh sure, they have criticized and attacked us repeatedly, but while we were giving aid to IRAN this year when the earthquake killed thousands we asked for nothing in return! Has the world done anything for the US without needing something in return? Did they offer aid when Florida was hit with record numbers of Hurricanes? Not that I heard. Oh yea, France did send peace keeping troops.........to HATI! All the worlds ills are our fault. Now we have wonderful allies in the War on Terror, but they aren't the UN with their "international standards" or most of Old Europe. We have spent American blood and fortune defending the world from tyrants and we are repaid with repeated attacks on every action we take.

Speaking of helping those in need Little Red Blog has this great analysis:
The U.N.'s World Food Program wants more food for North Korea. They've requested South Korea provide more aid to the North. As they note, North Korea has largely been dependent on South Korea, Japan and the United States for food since the mid-90's.

Meanwhile, the North Koreans have claimed that they will boost their "war deterrent force" as the multi-lateral talks regarding their nuclear weapons program look "gloomy" after stalling when the North Koreans didn't attend the scheduled talks in September. Their reasoning, the "hostile policy" of the United States. As reported by the AP, KCNA, their official news agency, had this to say:

Oh great, they call us for help. What would happen if we just said, "screw you and your goofy looking troll doll leader!" Of course we wouldn't do that - but that is exactly what France did to us the past oh, I don't know, hundred years or so!!!

Just like the belief that everyone has to be allowed to vote, even if you don't follow the rules some people seem to believe that there is a right to not be offended! Tongue tied has this proving that Darren was wrong and Samantha was right - despite Endora's meddling!

KOMO-TV in Washington State reports that a school district in Puyallup has banned Halloween celebrations in part because witch costumes might offend local Wiccans.Puyallup school spokeswoman Karen Hansen said, "Witches with pointy noses and things like that are not respective symbols of the Wiccan religion and so we want to be respectful of that.”Number eight on the district's guidelines related to holidays and celebrations reads as follows: "Use of derogatory stereotypes is prohibited, such as the traditional image of a witch, which is offensive to members of the Wiccan religion."The district also says the half-hour party and parade at the end of the school day waste valuable class time and might make kids who can’t afford costumes upset.

This one is my favorite because I have been known to do both:
Student entrepreneurs at Harvard University were forced to stop selling tee shirts reading “Yale Sucks, Jeter Swallows” because gay groups on campus said it was demeaning to them, reports the Crimson. The shirt, which was designed for the annual Yale-Harvard game, plays on the Boston Red Sox slogan “Yankees Suck, Jeter Swallows” being bandied about for the American League championship series.Gay activists on campus complained that the negative reference to oral sex was offensive to gays and women. M. Barusch '06, a member of the Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Supporters Alliance (BGLTSA), called the shirts homophobic.“This is one more example of how offensive and discriminatory language makes its way into everyday discourse,” said another student, Joseph R. Geschlecht.

Daily Trek Thursday 102104

Okay, I was just going to let the flu shot issue pass without any more comment then I had posted here but tonight the Kerry campaign attempted to SLAM the administration for Cheney getting a flu shot!

That is absolutely unbelievable! Outrageous - No, not that fact that Cheney got the shot. After all he is in the line of succession to the Presidency AND having heart disease he is considered high risk and SHOULD get the shot! They also slammed Majority Leader Frist and John Snow. Frist is a practicing physician - donating his time on weekends to work at free clinics in DC and John Snow is 65 years old. These people are exactly who is supposed to get the shots!

The problem with the flu shot is two fold - first the liability exposure it immense from both the trial lawyers and the business itself. After all just 3 years ago they only sold about half of the total they manufactured taking a financial bath in the process! The second problem is that the government sets the price by purchasing 65% of the vaccines at a fixed price! The profit is virtually squeezed out of the system entirely and so are the companies that manufacture the vaccine! Today just two companies are in the business - 30 years ago there were over 20!

The government vaccine program was the first step in Hillary care passed in 1993. Thank you Hillary Clinton!

The worst part of the entire episode is that it clearly shows that, once again, the Kerry campaign completely misunderstands national security! Imagine for a minute that the President has a really debilitating case of the flu. Wouldn't Kerry want someone there who wasn't sick in the event of another 9/11? But of course to the Kerry campaign that doesn't matter if they can win! Defeat the US is their motto!

This attack by Kerry is beyond the pale and should be criticized by every analyst on both sides!

Now, if the President wanted to surprise the world and make a mark in the last days of the campaign he would do a new ad along these lines to be aired the last 2 days:

Opening scene - negative Kerry attack headline such as the flu slam, Ter.....Mrs. Kerry's attack on Laura Bush, the attack on Mary Cheney, and the Moore-on Lie-N-Hypers charges.

President - I am GWB and I approved this ad and I am asking you for your vote on November 2. Our nation is the beacon of freedom and prosperity in the world - every action I have taken has enhanced that beacon and has made us safer and set the world on the path that will foster the environment that will repudiate terrorism as the evil that it is! The corrupt and feeble methods of the last century have been exposed as failures. However change is uncomfortable to those who were set in their pre 9/11 world. They flail out and produce attacks such as those we've seen in this campaign. But change and action was not an option following that devastating day! Knowing this I again ask for your vote on November 2, 2004.

I am sure the President's writers can do a much better job, but can they do The Trek:

OH, it seems the Kerry campaign forgot this about the Cheney flu shot issue (Newsmax):
But apparently team Kerry didn't notice on Monday when Hillary Clinton announced that her heart patient hubby Bill also received a flu shot, during an address about the vaccine shortage at a New York City health center.

I mentioned Ter....Mrs. Kerry (still can't figure out how to spell her name the way it is pronounced!) earlier well here were her comments:

"Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good," Heinz Kerry said. "But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things."

Heinz Kerry said she sees her age as a benefit — she is 66 and Bush 57. "I'm older, and my validation of what I do is a little bit bigger — because I'm older, and I've had different experiences. And it's not a criticism of her. It's just, you know, what life is about," she said.

Now, this is the most arrogant combination since Louis and Marie - let them eat cake! Mrs. Bush was a school teacher and librarian for over 9 years before she became a mother, which in itself is hard enough work. Kerry did apologize but she failed to recognize the homemakers contribution to our nation in her apology!
"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. As someone who has been both a full time mom and full time in workforce, I know we all have valuable experiences that shape who we are. I appreciate and honor Mrs. Bush's service to the country as First Lady, and am sincerely sorry I had not remembered her important work in the past."

BTW, what did Ter...Mrs. Kerry do before she became a wealth heiress.............worked at the UN! Let's ask the mothers of the Sudan how supportive the UN is of their right to raise their children without being slaughtered!

Oh, and don't forget about that comment by Kerry - It's okay for our soldiers to die for the UN but it is wrong if they die for the United States!

The Fronts in this World War

Taken from my Free Republic post of July 23, 2004

Amazingly even after the attack on Pearl Harbor people failed to realize that we had been brought into a WORLD WAR. Unfortunately there are still those out there that fail to understand that this has happened again (including the amazing Mr. Kerry who feels the term war is too harsh.)

Was it part of the war on Japan to invade Africa? How can people with a straight face try to separate Iraq from the overall war?

The War on Terror involves many fronts, the most prominent of which are: - The Economic Homefront - the 9/11 attacks cost the US nearly 1 trillion. The agressive action by the administration turned the recession around (see Alan Greenspan comments 7/21/2004 for confirmation). - Afganistan - the agressive action by the administration has liberated millions and disrupted terrorist command and control (see the 9/11 report.) - Iraq - the agressive action by the administration has liberated millions and made the US safer (see the 9/11 commission report) as well as caused a vaccuum drawing many terrorists in to fight on our terms rather then on our soil. - Reformation of our traditional alliances (foreign entantlements), trusting those who share our interests rather then those who would rather sell out for their oil vouchers. - Continious strengthing of our homeland security.

Kerry: US Soldiers deaths not worth it if for US, but okay for the UN

Wow, this guy is a complete joke, but I have said that repeatedly (no links, just read the pages I have written!)

Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard has this:

WHO WOULD HAVE EXPECTED the Washington Post to inflict real damage on John Kerry's faltering presidential campaign? Yet they have.

Here is the third paragraph from today's front-page article by Helen Dewar and Tom Ricks on Kerry's foreign policy record:

Kerry's belief in working with allies runs so deep that he has maintained that the loss of American life can be better justified if it occurs in the course of a mission with international support. In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he said, "If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no."

When the Bush campaign talks about John Kerry's wanting a "permission slip" from the U.N., many commentators dismiss it as rhetorical excess. But Kerry really does believe that the United Nations is a fundamental, legitimizing body for the use of U.S. force. One hears this deference to the U.N. all the time in European capitals, but it is rare to hear it even among mainstream American liberals. In this respect, as in others, Kerry really is a throwback. He still shares the McGovernite distrust of U.S. force and suspicion of the judgments that are arrived at by the American body politic.

John Kerry is not a Clinton-Lieberman Democrat. His near obsession with gaining the approval of the U.N., and for that matter of France and Germany, for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy would make him the riskiest commander in chief of any presidential candidate since George McGovern--and surely makes Kerry unsuitable to govern in a post-9/11 world.

The left nominated this pansy ass - and they are proud of it? Zell Miller was right - the Democratic party does not represent anyone but the urban utopinaists!

Daily Trek Wednesday 102004

The reality of war is the focus of today's Trek:

I have said this before and I have ripped into the armchair generals but I couldn't put it any better then this - from Ace of Spades blog:
It is an old military maxim that blunders can be forgiven, but a lack of boldness cannot. There will always be blunders. The simple becomes difficult in war. Take for example the following question: what is 2+2 equal too? An easy question right? Now imagine I gave you 15 such questions and you had 2 seconds to answer them. Most likely you would answer some and leave the rest. Looking at those questions you missed in isolation I might say, "What kind of blathering idiot are you? You can't even answer simple questions like 2+2=4". That is why Armchair Generals are so annoying. They look at one thing in isolation with all the time in the world to think about it and say confidently "the answers obvious". But when you are out in the fight everything looks different. Nothing is ever seen in isolation. You never have enough time. You never know more than 1/10 what you need to know. There will always be blunders.

But the job has to get done anyway. And to get this kind of job done boldness is essential. A leader who never blunders, but who doesn't take the fight to the enemy is worthless. A leader who sets about to win - win ugly if needs be - is priceless.

One thing the Marine Corps taught me is that a 70% solution acted on immediately and violently is better than a perfect solution acted on later. My experience has proven this true time and again. The sad fact is however, that a 70% solution is a 30% mistake. And those mistakes can be hard to take. In WWII for example, 700 soldiers drowned in a training accident in preparation for D-Day (that is about how many combat deaths we've experienced so far in Iraq).

There is a scene in the movie "We were Soldiers" that says it better than I can. In the scene a young soldier on the ground is giving directions on enemy positions to aircraft flying overhead. The aircraft then dropped Napalm on the enemy. At one point the soldier gets the directions wrong and stares horrified as the Napalm is dropped on his own unit. The soldier is shaken beyond belief. He sat there doing nothing - paralyzed by his mistake. Then his Commanding Officer gave him the confidence to carry on. The CO told him to "forget about that last one" and "you're keeping us alive here". And so the soldier swallowed his guilt and kept doing his job and thereby saved the unit. That is what a 70% solution looks like in real life. And those are the 70% solutions that win wars.

Most people and events are beyond your control. Most questions you don't have time to answer. Most facts you will never know. But you have to press the attack anyway. No matter how ugly it gets, you keep going until you win.

Kerry doesn't understand that. Everything he did during the Cold War and everything he says about this one states as much. He represents those who would never blunder, but who would not take the fight to the enemy. He would just sit there - like the soldier in the movie - paralyzed by America's mistakes."

Just remember those who are whining about mistakes are also strengthening our enemies resolve - just as John Kerry did when he decided to help the North Vietnam Communists!

Speaking of those utopianism fools, LGF has this:

Carter: The Revolutionary War Was "Unnecessary"

It’s a pity that, as a past winner, Jimmy Carter can’t be in the running for this year’s Idiotarian of the Year award—because this mind-bending interview with Chris Matthews would make him a shoo-in: ‘Hardball with Chris Matthews’ for Oct. 18. (Hat tip: johnCV.)

MATTHEWS: Let me ask you the question about—this is going to cause some trouble with people—but as an historian now and studying the Revolutionary War as it was fought out in the South in those last years of the War, insurgency against a powerful British force, do you see any parallels between the fighting that we did on our side and the fighting that is going on in Iraq today?

CARTER: Well, one parallel is that the Revolutionary War, more than any other war up until recently, has been the most bloody war we’ve fought. I think another parallel is that in some ways the Revolutionary War could have been avoided. It was an unnecessary war.

Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonial’s really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely, and of course now we would have been a free country now as is Canada and India and Australia, having gotten our independence in a nonviolent way.

The real problem was that Washington had no plan to win the peace. (Jimmah’s been spending way too much time at the Burger King with Michael Moore.)

When a group of soldiers refuse to obey the lawful authority of their commander then they are guilty of Mutiny and have to be punished as such! Orders are orders. While I can sympathize and even empathize with the concerns of the family and the media's need to make this a story there is no valid reason these soldiers would risk the lives of every soldier in Iraq because they refused to do their duty! The leaders and each and every individual soldier must be held accountable!

I believe the radical left Moore-ons and their anti-American propaganda are responsible in the long run! I also believe John Kerry thinks they are brave for standing up against the government that sent them to the "WRONG PLACE!" Want to blame someone, blame Kerry - equipment problems are irrelevant as that is a fact of life in war!

Daily Trek Tuesday 101904

John Kerry is attacking the President for not having proper troop levels and now for not having the proper supplies for the troops that were there - sounds like a good line of attack, right?

Had John Kerry been a candidate during WWII we would have lost - or he would have been tried and punished as a traitor! There is no doubt in my mind that this would have happened - of course betting that John Kerry wouldn't have flipped or flopped to a pro-war attitude to meet the post Pearl Harbor opinion polls would be a bad bet!

Here's the Trek:

Now, if you were in a war with Islamic Fundamentalists who are determined to convert America and the world to an Islamic state at any costs - including children - would you adopt as your symbol a logo with what appears to be a cresent on it? You would if you thought America was evil and needed to be defeated at all costs - just like the radical Islamists! With that in mind what does this remind you of:

It is the New Democrat Network -

Here is actual coloring of the symbol with the left's leading anti-American representative - the hero of the left's crush America movement for the last 35 years!

In Russia Putin thinks the terrorists are supporting Kerry, or at least actively attempting to oust President Bush!

MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin says terrorist attacks in Iraq are aimed at preventing the re-election of U.S. President George W. Bush and that a Bush defeat "could lead to the spread of terrorism to other parts of the world." . . .

"Any unbiased observer understands that attacks of international terrorist organizations in Iraq, especially nowadays, are targeted not only and not so much against the international coalition as against President Bush," Putin said.

From PoliPundit:
Now that we know that the Russians, Japanese, and Israelis back Bush, here’s a Kerry backer:
The Palestinian Authority made its first open statement Monday expressing support for US democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
Want a flu vaccine but can't find one? Thank Hillary Care - this was her first step in the takeover of the nations healthcare! The government buys and distributes these vaccines - and John Kerry wants this same plan for all medications! See Michelle for more details!

Leroy Chaio, the newest astronaut on the space station will be voting from space! We can work the logistics of that out but they can't punch a chad all the way through? Of course we can always pay people in CRACK to enroll voters - at least that is what the NAACP did in Ohio!
ANYTHING TO WIN, destroy lives and attempt to bring down a nation! That is the Democratic tactic!

How many times have I said that Canada can NOT allow the US to import our medication from there? Many many times - now they are setting policies to protect their access to the medications they need and restrict or stop selling bulk orders to the US! Another one of those issues that John Kerry didn't bother to think through and "nuance" has now fallen apart on him!

Speaking of errors - the evidence that man was evil and ruining the planet was incorrect! Yep, the study that tied global warming to the burning fo the evil fossil fuels was demonstrably in error! Just like CBS with their fake documents the enviro wacko left wanted to believe so bad that they didn't even do the basic audit of their study!

Moveon pac has their new ad that claims 4 years ago a mistake was made and we can correct that on election day! Is it really a good idea to accuse half of the voters, those who elected the President of making a mistake? Despite their looney beliefs Bush did win the election!

Did Tom Daschle give up his residency in South Dakota? Seems like an affidavit for owner/occupied property tax exemption in DC says so! His defeat would be a victory for anyone opposed to obstructionist politics! See Daschle v Thune for regular updates on this race! He might not even be able to vote legally there?

Look, someone agrees with me The Real John Kerry- DANEgerous thinks Kerry looks like Stan Laurel too, but he carries it further:

Oh, maybe growing back their spine is an option - after the Islamic Terrorists were caught planning new attacks on Spain! Remember you can't spell Spain without pain! Not that I would want them as our allies again, not real trustworthy bunch from my personal experience - but maybe they can learn from their mistakes!

Man is,....Well, Human - The Age of The Lawyers

And as such so are his laws! But in this age of, "the lawyer," the lawyers try to write legislation to cover any and every eventuality no matter what!

What is my point? Well, prior to 2000 as the lawyers gained strength and numbers there was an acceptance of errors in human behavior! Though we had lost our ability to accept personal responsibility years ago, (it was completely gone by the time we awarded a lady for spilling her own hot coffee on her cooter) we at least understood that humans were imperfect beings!

Not after that fateful day in November 2000 when Al Gore decided that it was not only unacceptable for errors to occur it had to be remedied via, what else but more lawyers! Hence the beginning of the age of the Lawyers!

Let me just make my point - Man cannot make a perfect error free election! It just isn't possible, even with John Kerry's vaunted UN. (shoot in Afghanistan they couldn't even use the right ink so they are far from the solution!)

What we can do is grow up and not create a crisis as the left has done for the past 4 years - a crisis designed to divide the nation with the hopes of beating us into submission here and abroad! We go out of our way to stop any possible fraud but we somehow refuse to require identification! I think we should require an ID and mark people's thumbs with permanent ink just like they did in Afghanistan!

We run around with more lawyers but we refuse to do what we need to do to, and has been shown to work to stop the fraud!

God help us for all future elections if this isn't a decisive Bush victory that would make a challenge of the election virtually worthless!

Better - Better Get A Bucket!

No, not anymore!

Following last week's breathing mistake I had a weekend of digestive hurrying - as my doctor calls it - and a bit of exhaustion! But better today, although this is the same season I relapsed last year I hope that by resting I will avoid one this year.

Hope your having a good day, look for the Trek to restart tomorrow and other random posts.

If you haven't checked out some of the submissions to Hugh Hewitt's recent symposiums take the time to do so - they are great! And a great idea, giving some focus to the shotgun pattern that is the blogosphere!
