Who are our real friends? Well, probably those who aren't advocating a, "strategic alliance between the EU and China to counter American power." Thanks old Europe - thank goodness we spent billions protecting you last century! After we get this terrorism thing knocked down we'll pull the knife out of our back! - Hey Cox and Forkum, how about a cartoon with Lady Liberty with a knife in her back (if they didn't already do one.) BTW, that story is mainly about an EU rapid reaction force - read it - considering the cost, age of their soldiers (who are mostly union by the way - a month off in the summer and all!) , and the fact that they don't have the airlift it makes you wonder why. But remember, as I have warned in the past, as their economy continues to falter they become a danger to us and themselves.

Now Drudge has had this lead story all night and day so far, "Kerry accuses Bush of hiding troop plan." But there is no hidden plan - from the Kerry Spot:

Cody, the Army's vice chief of staff, said that state National Guard officials have known about the deployments for some time and that all units preparing to go for the third rotation into Iraq have been notified. "The mobilization is phased, based on when they have to be there," Cody said

But the best part is the Kerry supporters quoting the Group Boston:

A senior aide to Murtha, who spoke on condition of anonymity yesterday, cautioned that a new call-up was not a certainty, saying enough reservists may still be mobilized by November to avoid one.

"To quote an old Boston line, it's more than a feeling, but less than a confirmed Pentagon plan," the senior aide said, referring to a song from the rock group.

But they fail to note the rest of the lyrics:

"It's more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling) I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)."

Obviously they are dreaming!
